4Kids rumored to be 4Sale.

ANN heard that paidcontent.org heard that 4Kids was putting itself up for sale due to a series of plummeting sales which threaten the companies survival. Why anyone would want to buy a failing company, much less one that makes horrible dubs of anime, is beyond me. When approached about the supposed sale, 4Kids said they could not comment on speculations and rumors.

So for now, a rumor it may be, but hopefully, it's true and someone who likes anime and know what's good for it will take it over and they'll start producing quality dubs again. But dreams often don't come true.

You're right, 4kids is HORRIBLE when it comes to dubs. It's the one time when I might start thinking like "a Japanese elitist," otherwise no. I doubt someone will buy it if it's failing badly because you'd have to be damn nice with it to turn around a profit in these falling times. People don't want to spend money period. The most important thing to know about a business is that without customers there isn't one.

Just hearing about 4shame makes me cringe because it makes me think of the One Piece dub. I hope who ever buys the company really makes it worthwhile dubbing again.

On One Piece they made a person that is black race to a white race and they also had the nerve to turn a Pokémon riceball-cake thing into a doughnut. Rather pathetic if you ask me.
