Actually, Kaaru's right.

The American/English series is YEARS behind the Japanese, and at the rate they've been going, they'd finish years after. A large portion of the American/English fan base began with the Japanese version, and if Viz waited and kept going their current pace, this portion of fans would lose interest long before the series ended and that means less money for them. Hell, even the fan base that started after the American/English came out would probably have lost interest in Naruto by then, save the younger ones who would grow up with it. And that is, again, less money for them.

And, of course, Shippuuden rocks the socks off of...anything. I personally hope they skip the filler in the anime and move right to Shippuuden, then market the filler episodes later as "lost episodes", which would definitely be a smart move as it would rake in tons of cash from the unsuspecting dub fans who don't know any better. But yeah, I want my dub-Shippuuden fix. ASAP.

Okay see this whole manga speed up chain wasn't because of Shipuuden, okay, just to tell you the manga was going super slower than the show, also C.T. is going almost the same exact pace as Japan now and before, sure there was 1 screw up, but we've had almost all the marathons excludding the Sasuke Chuunin Exam Fight one..... And look now, When do we get Naruto Episodes? 1 a week, look the same? It may seem that Viz is trying to get to Shipuuden faster but, they are going the same pace as Naruto in Japan now the manga also, because they are now, a guess since I didn't look once a month now from where I think they at the Itachi&Kisame Arc when the Anime is at the beggining of the Idate filler, at least the beggining(episode 98 comes out today)
