The official Naruto website has released a new, extended trailer for the upcoming Naruto Shippuuden movie. New scenes give a better look at Naruto's fight against the group resembling Akatsuki -- confirming that they are actually original characters, and not from the manga:

Tickets for the movie will begin selling April 21st. When purchasing these ticket(s) at select theaters, you will receive 1 of 2 different exclusive "Naruto Shippuuden: The Movie" clear files -- shown below:



According to a flyer in this week's issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, the main characters in the movie will be: Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura, Rock Lee, and Hyuuga Neji.

Naruto Shippuuden: The Movie will release in theaters nationwide (in Japan), Aug/4/2007. Please note that the subtitled trailer we linked to yesterday incorrectly translated the release date of the movie -- Aug/4/2007 is the correct date.

Aww daym. I really want to see this movie now. But i have a new hunch. I don't think Naruto dies. What i have come up with is that Naruto disappears and that his fellow comrades only manage to find his headband with blood everywhere from his battle. They think the worst and believe he was killed and thus make a grave for him. Then BAM, Naruto comes back to help out and kick some ass.

I usually get DVDs around 5-6 days after they release. If it manages to get here before I leave, and I have some free time, then sure thing.
