NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja 2

Just got off the phone with NAMCO BANDAI about their upcoming Naruto PS2 game "Ultimate Ninja 2". I had all these questions ready for Uzumaki Chronicles 2, and I find out they're discussing Ultimate Ninja 2 -- D'oh.

NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja 2 has been set up to release so it's story matches with that of the anime series currently airing on Cartoon Network. English fans of the series won't have to worry about any spoilers, but can also enjoy the game for it's current time line in the series. Attacks such as Rasengan and Sakuyomi will be present, as well as new characters like Uchiha Itachi.

Dub fans will be happy to hear that NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja 2 features the shows voices as heard on Cartoon Network. Unfortunately there will no Japanese voice track available. While NAMCO BANDAI is very interested in adding this feature, doing so would involve new programming not present in the original Japanese version.

32 of the 33 characters from Narutimate Hero 2 will be present in Ultimate Ninja 2. Kazahana Dotou, the main character from the first Naruto movie was cut. During the game's localization it was still unknown if VIZ Media would be releasing the movie or not, so to be on the safe side, he was left out. Then they later find out that the movie will be releasing in the US, but by that time it was too late.

Narutimate Hero 2 ditched the method from Narutimate Hero 1/Ultimate Ninja 1 for performing secret techniques -- where players press buttons on the controller in a certain order as fast as possible -- adding 2 different ones in it's place. NAMCO BANDAI has worked with the game's original developers to revive the old method seen in Ultimate Ninja 1, now allowing for 3 different methods total in Ultimate Ninja 2.

In the game's RPG Mode players will be able to learn techniques from other characters. For instance, Itachi using the sexy jutsu.

Expect new trailers as well as other information on NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja 2 shortly.

ALRIGHT! So only one character will be cut that's good =( I was looking forward to the new Ouugi system but No they bring in the old one. I'm a bit disappointed about the RPG mode but I still look forward to it.
