Confirmed in the latest issue of Nintendo Power, D3Publisher of America will be releasing Naruto: Clash of Ninja 3 --- but for the Wii! It's still unknown whether this will be an English version of "Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX" (which is #5 in the Japanese series -- entitled "Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX"), or instead a ported version of Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 (from the Gamecube) to the Wii. Another possibility is an entirely original game created just for the United States.
Uchiha Itachi (Uchiha Sasuke's older brother) is currently scheduled to be a playable character in the game. Also mentioned are the inlcusion of Wii-based minigames, and the use of the consoles Wiimote capabilities. More information as it becomes available!
For those new to the Clash of Ninja series, these video games are localizations of games in Japan known as "Gekitou Ninja Taisen". Currently 5 Gekitou Ninja Taisen games have been released: 1, 2, 3, and 4 on the Gamecube, and a 5th one known as "Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX".

It's just Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 ported over to the Wii for the English release of Clash Of Ninja 3. It can't be the new EX as that covers Shippuden so thats out of the question.
And Itachi is playable in GNT 3 originally too. But these mini games just seem like a inclusion for the Wii port.

But why would they reveal all the characters before it's English release hrm? I bet they are keeping most of the characters secret. Either that or they are going to take half of the cast out so that the game fits in with the current arc in the English version of Naruto. They cut a lot of stuff out for Uzumaki Chronicles in the English version so they might do it again with CON 3.
But i'm still betting they are keeping characters secret. I can think of at least 3 characters they will definitely keep secret boosting it to 17 characters, then include the 2 pointless and terrible joke characters and you get 19. Another thing to consider is that the character roaster will always increase after every update until the games release. So they still have time to reveal the rest of the roaster before it's release.
If this game is not the GNT 3 i own on the Gamecube, i'll eat my own shoe.

This is totally gay. I don't have a Wii, but I was hoping to get to play CON 3 & 4.
Also, is it true that in the original Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3, you can play as Itachi but not Kisame? Because that's just downright homosexual. Both appeared in the series at the same time (Kisame actually spoke first, excluding Sasuke's flashbacks), so there's no excuse for it if what I've heard is true.
Also, I'm about to join Jammy at the shoe buffet; they need to stop cutting shit out of these games. I'd much rather wait the extra time for the show to catch up than for them to cut stuff out of the games.

It's true. Kisame is not in GNT 3. The only Akatsuki member in GNT 3 is Itachi. But about the cutting stuff out, we don't know for sure. Previewers said that CON 3 has 14 characters, but GNT 3 has 25 characters, well 23 if you don't include the jokes. So they might just be keeping the rest secret...which is odd because Itachi is the ultimate secret character in GNT 3 because he's the boss and a bitch to unlock and they have already revealed him being in the game. So if they aren't secret characters, then yes the developers will be cutting characters out.

Yeah GNT 3 introduces the 2 specials as well as Sasuke, Naruto and Kakashi able to use their power ups and not being separate characters.

Wait, they're cutting the number of characters in GNT 3 from 25 to 14?! WTF?! That's almost half of the characters taken out. But I thought GNT 3 had over 30 characters. I think it was GNT 2 which had 23. Anyways, they didn't take any characters out of GNT 2/Clash of Ninja 2, so I can't see why there would only be 14 characters in Clash of Ninja 3 even if some characters WERE taken out. Unless they also got rid of some old characters, which...wouldn't make any sense...
And 2 specials isn't nearly enough. That's why the Narutimate Hero/Ultimate Ninja series is much better. Well, that's ONE of the reasons...

8. Rasengan = Yes. It's Naruto's desperation special when in red health. The only reason it was called power strike in Uzumaki Chronicles is because they didn't want to spoil the Jutsu's name so thus why it was called PS.
9. Yes the game covers the Sannin Arc. But why does that suck? Each GNT covers an arc or two and this time it's the Sannin arc. GNT 4 covers the Sound 5 arc.

No, Kabuto isn't in CON 3, he appears in 4.
As for Kakashi. Yeah for CON 3 his regular special is his Raikiri that he has in CON 1 and 2 and his second special is Raikiri Rendan where he beats the opponent up then slams a Raikiri into their spine. Finally his 1,000 years of pain is his back+a counter.
