Shippuuden Premieres Tonight!

Tonight at 7:00PM JPT, the first two episode of Naruto Shippuuden will air accross Japan. We'll be posting up-to-date information on these 2 new episode tomorrow and the next day. But until then, we have some basic information on the new series:
The Episodes:
02/15/2007 -- 01. Homecoming
02/15/2007 -- 02. Akatsuki, Action Begins
02/22/2007 -- 03. Fruits of the Training
03/01/2007 -- 04. Jinchuuriki of the Sand
The Themes:
Opening -- Hero's Come Back!!, by nobodyknows+
Closing -- Nagareboshi (Shooting Star), by HOME MADE Kazoku
The Media:

We're working on getting a trailer setup, which we can hopefully have ready before the first two episodes air. And since I'm sure many of you are now confused because I said it premiered tonight ---- Japan is in a different time zone than the rest of the world (yes, this includes the USA). So even if it's still the 14th in your time zone, it isn't necessarily for the rest of the world

. It's something like 9:25AM in Japan as I type this post.

Err, I'm a noob to the series and recently got up to part 2 in the manga so don't call me stupid but haven't they already aired Shippuden in Japan??

It did, hence why this topic was made ages ago. If it's "2008", he's probably talking about the dub.

I bet, they're only on episode 100 in the dub and they show it weekly. I heard that there's massive filler as well to part one in the anime that sucks horridly, is that true?? And if so, is it before or after the Sasuke Retrieval saga??

Theres a mini-arc in one or two weeks thats about 5 episodes long. After the Sasuke Retrieval Arc the real horror begins...

Yeah, as Zer0 said, the real horror begins after the Sasuke Retrieval arc.

More than a full year of worse filler than you can possibly imagine. MORE THAN A FULL YEAR.

Actually, the Raiga arc was pretty sweet. A little stupid at some parts, but...psychotic little Raiga was funny as hell, killing people just so he could cry at their funerals to make himself feel better, and it was pretty cool to see Drunken Lee again.
