Earlier today Episode 220 (entitled: "Setting Out") of the Naruto anime series aired on televisions accross Japan. This episode marked the long awaited end of Naruto fillers, finally returning (part way through the episode) to the manga storyline. It also marked the very last episode of Naruto, thus completing part 1 of the series.
Part 2, which is known as Naruto: Shippuuden will be beginning with it's first 2 episodes next week in the same time slot. Be on the look out for a guide dedicated to this new series in the next few days.

Hoo-bloody-ray. This past year or two have been utmost hell for Naruto, sheer disaster. Now finally we're getting somewhere.
Also what makes me laugh is that the filler ends, just exactly how it started. Naruto was in hospital when fillers started, of course Naruto should of left with Jiraiya at this point but no, fillers took over. And then this episode ends with Naruto in hospital talking with Jiraiya before setting out from Konoha. So basically you can take out all 84 episodes of the filler and no one would ever know they happened. Any flashbacks which refer to filler can just be replaced with canon stuff.
