VIZ Media is now listing a DVD release of the 2nd Naruto OVA special. The DVD is currently set to release May 1st 2007 and will include both an English and Japanese version of the special.
Official Product Description:
Naruto and the others arrive at the Village Hidden in the Waterfall on an escort mission for Shibuki, the village leader. However, the situation changes suddenly when Kakashi must return home on urgent business and the village is attacked. Suien, a former Hidden Waterfall ninja, is one of the attackers, and things take a turn for the worse when the village treasure, the Hero's Water, falls into his hands!
And since there's absolutely no mention of the first OVA (which involves Konohamaru and the crimson 4 leaf clover), it looks like they will be skipping it and going right to #2. I have to say it makes sense. The first one is quite short -- making it hard to have as a stand-alone DVD release. But even so, there's still a chance they'll come back to it later on; Or maybe even merge the two specials into one release.
