We've made good progress with our news program, but is still incomplete. So, until we get that finished the amount of news posted here on the homepage won't be that high. However, the updates content wise will be very frequent, so make sure to check back regularly.

One of the traditions I hope to continue doing here at Naruto 2, is starting the first day of each month off with a release of a new wave of updates for the website. These will be numbered (i.e. 2nd wave, 3rd wave etc.). So throughout the month I'll be working on lots of updates, regularly making them public, and then at the end of the month posting what each of these new features are. Typically 30 updates a month, until I feel the site has become big enough to make that number a bit smaller.

Here's what the updates where for last month, or "2nd wave", along with a very short and un-creative description. In no particular order:

23: Temp. Internet - Lost my internet connection, and spent all getting a temporary connection established.

24: Extra Hyperlinking - Went through the site and added a bunch of extra hyperlinks to make navigating the site more simple.

25: Screenshot Installation - Had to hunt down a program that can take high quality screenshots, which was surprisingly hard.

26: Installed .NET 2.0 to Server - Just released 2.0 version, got a copy and installed it into the server so we could convert the site.

27: Converted site to .NET - This was necessary to make future more fancy updates like Random Quotes and site statistics possible.

In real news, Amazon has just opened up the first volume of the Naruto English Dub DVD for pre-orders. They state that it will release on December 31, 1969. Obviously, this makes no sense, and we'll have to assume they mean 2005, and not the year man landed on the moon.

However, when looking at a more reliable source for these kinds of releases, TRS International, has stated that the product releases March 28 2006. When pre-orders for this product on their site will open is still uncertain.
