Everyone knows how expensive video games are -- $50 to $75 for a single game can be very painful. That's more than $1000 for just 20 games. Well, now there's an alternative. You can trade your old games for new ones for less than $5 each (including hot new games like Halo 3), through the MFG online game trading community.
Here's how it works: First, create an account. If you're a member of the MFG forum, you might want to either use your same forum name, or put "MFG-" in front of it, as I did ("MFG-Ace"). You can update your profile and upload the same avatar you use on the forum. Next, go through the system and mark games you have that you would be willing to trade for other games. When someone else in the community has one of those games, you will be notified. Then you print out a pre-paid mailer, and put the game in the mail. That helps you earn points, which you need in order to receive games. You get 20 points for free when you first register. The system provides a community, so you can post comments and feedback, as well as tips and hints for the games. ![]() After marking the games you have, go through the system and mark the games you want. When someone else in the community has a game you want, you will be notified. In order to accept the trade, you need to have the required number of points (more expensive games require more points), along with a trading token. Trading tokens cost $4.95 each, and include the cost of the mailer that's used by the person who has the game to send it to you. You can get your first token for 50% off. After you accept a trade, one token and the required number of points is deducted from your account, and the person who has the game is notified that they should mail it to you. You can also earn tokens by referring your friends. You will receive a free token after they sign-up and purchase their first one. When you receive a game this way, it's yours to keep. This is not a rental or temporary / loan type thing. The game is yours forever. This Christmas, instead of asking for one or two games, why not ask for 10 or 20 trading tokens instead? It's the same cost, and just think of how much more fun you could have. Check it out at http://myfavoritegames.sayswap.com/ |
