Last month at this year's Comic-Con International, FUNimation announced that on November 13th they will re-release the Dragonball Z movies "Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan" and "Broly: Second Coming", two of the largest selling DBZ movies, together in high definition on Blu-ray disc.
"These two movies have been remastered in high-definition, digitally restored and enhanced with an all-new 5.1 surround sound mix. The video has been transferred directly from the original 35mm Japanese film creating a higher visual quality to match the dynamic action seen in the series and movies. All the special features on the disc are in full 1920 x 1080p HD, including a featurette about the restoration, remastering and high definition processes called Dragon Ball Z: A New Look." explains FUNimation. After this release, FUNimation Entertainment will start releasing high definition versions of some of its most popular catalog titles in the U.S. Further details, will be released at a later date.

I think that when the Movies are released on DVD (for the remastered version) It will be good enough quality there's no need to watch them on Blue Ray since ITS A ANIME made in the early 90's.
