I'm looking into the yesterday/today issue.
I'm not sure what you mean about the large avatars. Are they really any bigger than before? Is it everyone's avatar, or only certain ones that are a problem? Also, which browser are you using? I've checked them in IE7 and Firefox, and both look OK to me.... Not sure about the mark all posts as read button. It would be nice if there was a list of new features that people would like added to the forum. If there's enough interest, I can keep my eye open for similar-sounding add-ons, or maybe put one together myself. |

Can anyone tell me how to add pics to the gallery? And do you guys have an easy way of adding pics to the galleries? I think that the picture uploading templat should be connected to your profile page in at least some way. I looked all over for a way to add pics to the galleries and I couldn't find it, and I wasn't going to look through 3500 names for my name in the list so that I could add pics to the gallery. I had to start a thread and post them there.
Oh yes, I like what you guys have done with the Forums. They look really good.

Ya Ace they're at least a third bigger than they were. And they look very choppy. I'm using some version of IE but I don't know which. They just used to look smoother, something happened, I don't know what though.
Hey Ace are you seeing a large space at the bottom of the page when you post a reply? Mine has a big space that takes up almost an entire screen.

My avatar is huge. And when I try to use an avatar smaller then this, it stretches it to this size, so it looks like crap. It's like it's on a setting for this size, and I don't know how to get it off.

The maximum avatar size was set to 150x150 pixels. I changed it to 100x100. Is that better?
FWIW, demonkingpiccolo, it looked to me (I'm using IE7) that your remotely-hosted avatar was in fact 150x150 pixels, which is how it was being displayed before this change. If 100x100 is a little too small, let me know and I'll tweak it. |

Well, if it was possible, I would appreciate having avatars set back to 150x150, I had grown rather fond of that size.
Other than that, and the fact we can't see who is doing what when we place the mouse over there names in the who is online area, I love the new upgrade. Good job Ace!

Sweet as Ace, great job. I disagree with having the ava's changed back, this size looks much smoother in my opinion. A couple of other things, can we arrange to be alerted when a new pm appears, that is kind of a pain to not know if something new is in there. And second, fix the huge space at the bottom of the screen when you post a reply. Unless it's just me, then I'm sure there's nothing you can do.
Great stuff, this upgrade is going well. Me likey!

I'm liking the changes Ace. Now that the Avatars are down in size, it is starting to look more professionally.
About the compromise, can't Member's change the regulation of their Avatars themselves in their profiles? I know at one time they could, but I'm not for certain if that was with Invision or Community Server.

@Superior -- I don't think users can change their own Avatar size, other than by using a smaller image. At least with IE7 and the default skin, smaller avatar images actually do look smaller.
I'll change it to 125x125. Let me know what you think! |
