Default Bandai Figures Return to the US!

Bandai USA has announced to retailers the return of DragonBall Z toys to US shores.

Beginning this December, we will see two initial series of toys - Ultimate Spark Figures and Real Works Figures.

2 1/2" Ultimate Spark Figures
The Ultimate Spark collection features highly detailed figures on a colorful and ornamental display stand. These will be blister-packaged, two figures per pack. These items, originally produced for the Japan market, have never been sold in the US.

4 1/2" Real Works Figures
These figures are highly collectible, stylized depictions of the most popular characters from DragonBall Z and DragonBall GT. These detailed figures are displayed on a stand.

The initial wave of toys will consist of products previously released in Japan and are now repackaged for North American consumers. We will have to wait to see when the first unique North American prodcuts will be available. As mentioned before the first wave of figures are due by December 2007.

Bandai last released DragonBall toys in the USA in 2000. Irwin-Toy had the license from 2000 throughout 2002. Since then DragonBall toys have been produced for the United States by Jakks Pacific, who is giving up the series in 2008.
