I would like to thank forum member, Pecavuk for the following information.

It has been stated on the official Atari community forums that Sparking! METEOR, will be coming to the United States and Europe under the name Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for the Playstation 2 and Wii consoles. Along with that, it will be featuring the original Japanese cover art. Meaning it will be the first time all regions are getting the same exact cover art (minus the logo to compensate for name changes).


Atari will soon be releasing a full list of confirmed characters for Budokai Tenkaichi 3, so come back in the next day or two to see the list. I will throw this little bit of information your way... Android #14 and Android #15 have a chance of getting into this game, a small chance, but it is still worth hoping.

Right... This HAS to be THE LAST DBZ Game! They can't do anymore apart from another Shin Budokai. No more "Super" Titles because that Game was pretty random. With the Third Tenkaichi -- We need ALL the Characters from DB / GT like Teen Goten / Teen Trunks / Future Gohan etc.. Everything from Tenkaichi 2 ofc, yeah many fans will know what they want. & funny thing is, i'll prob be getting this for both systems XD I'll bet they have different stuff. Maybe Chi Chi will be a Fighter also. In any case, I think DBZ is better on the Wii.. It's more interactive / Entertaining than PS2.. Tapping Buttons is boring now.. Can't wait for it's release! I'll be getting it on day of release! (If i've got enough cash!) ¬___¬

Death to Tenkaichi! Let it die already! The gameplay sucks. The cover does look cool, though. I will admit that, but the game's going to be the same crap like Tenkaichi 2

Budokai 1 was cool as in it brought a new dimension into dbz, Budokai 2 was horrible story mode wise, Budokai 3 was godly. BT1 was a pioneer, BT2 wasn't great but ok, BT3 will be godly. I hope the trned is right.

I will agree that Budokai 1 and Budokai Tenkaichi 1 were very well put games. However, the others I didn't care for as much. I could've lived without Budokai 2 and 3. As far as Budokai Tenkaichi 2 goes, I haven't gotten it yet.

Alrighty, everyone is putting their two cents worth in what they think of the Budokai games, so here I am. In its day, I think Budokai was unbeatable. Except for the uneven transformations(SS Goku is STRONGEST character... even stronger than SS2 Gohan or Super Perfect Cell...), Budokai 2(Yes story mode sucked), corrected the transformation problem a little bit(Usage of Ki was off, Kaioken Goku used as much Ki as SS Vegeta. SS Goku=SS2 Vegeta, so on and so forth.), Budokai 3 was, as Gogeaton put it, godly. I still pick it up every now and again. But there is one REALLY annoying part about it... in story mode when you fight a fusion character while your fused(In which the fusion lasts forever), and you have a really high difficulty, if you attack with a strong attack, they will teleport behind you. You can try to counter teleport, but they will counter teleport your counter. This made it frustrating as hell to try and beat that section of the storyline. Also, it kills the DBZ realism when you can stay in SS3 form easily without having to worry about Ki. Its suppose to be very challenging to stay in that transformation. Oh, and yes, the Tenkaichi 3 poster looks awesome. Seriously, the first thing I said when I seen it was "Woah... thats cool..."


Budokai Tenkaichi... I didn't like this game at all personally. I think the worst part was one of the melee fighting features in which you can power up a punch to make your opponent fly away or something. But if you don't power up the punch, they are merely stunned. This means you can just keep making a combo and do that until the enemy is dead. Pretty damn gay... then theres the fact that you cant transform during battle. I will never EVER forgive myself for spending nearly 70 bucks Canadian on this crap game. Well IMO its crap... In Tenkaichi 2, I think they fixed those problems pretty well. There isn't a lot of thought in the fighting IMO though. You have a couple default attacks, so basically, you fight, try to power up, use one of the attacks, fight, try to power up, use one of the few attacks, lather rinse, repeat. I find in the budokai games, theres more combos to use, more attacks to use, and more speed to the fighting.

I also own Ultimate Battle 22, and some GT game. If the other DBZ fighters are like these, I guess anything but the Budokai games aren't worth playing... except for Legacy of Goku 2 and 3. 3 is godly as well IMO. *Remembers DBZ: Taiketsu... pukes* Thank god I lost that game... my soul cried with every match... PHEAR 18's FOREHEAD OF DEATH!!!

Oh, and I checked out some pics of the game on some site and you'll be able to fight as Bibidi/Babidi. I think he can summon guys to fight for him though like the big green monster that eats energy(Forgot his name), and the baddy that thought he was tough stuff be cause he can survive 10x Earth's Gravity.

Tenkaichi 3 Online!? Well, I really hope so! Because if not, this Game is slightly pointless to have. It's only got a few more Characters that the last Game didn't have, but thing is, half of these Characters didn't Fight in the Movies / Series. Like King Cold, all he did was hold a Sword & Strike it at Trunks... It's basically Frieza but as King Cold. & what was the point on Super Dragon Ball Z !? It was pointless. I mean it's in Japanese Language & the Fighting Style was LAME! & It only goes up to the Cell Games, I bought Tenkaichi 2 first... (On PS2 Also got the Wii Version *Wii Version is better*) And around that time, Tenkaichi 2 was released along with it... a few days or before The "Super" Game. I've got "Super" But it's so random I just don't wana Play it. No wonder it was so cheap.

But anyway, i'll prob be getting Tenkaichi 3 on Both Consoles Wii & PS2.. And if it's Online on Wii (Wii needs more Online Games) it'll be awesome! All Wii has is Mario Strikers Charged Football, & I'm not exactly a Fan of Football... But it's still good, better than that "FIFA" Crap.

In the end, this MUST be the LAST DBZ Game. Apart from new PS3 ones, if they do make some more that'd be good for PS3..

LAST DBZ Game, or i'll get irritaited by buying more random crap, & we have to go through the Story Mode AGAIN! Nothing different from Tenkaichi 2.. But still it's quite random to do it.
