Dragonball manga-ka Akira Toriyama turns 52 today. Born on April 5, 1955 in Kiyosu, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, Toriyama-san debuted his manga career in 1978 and has been making manga ever since! He's currently working on a new anime called "Blue Dragon", and his latest mangas include: Cross Epoch, Neko Majin, and Sand Land.

This may be the wrong place to ask this, but since it is one of Akira's manga's I doubt it. So, whatever happened to Dr. Slump? Did he finish that already? If he did how many volumes were there? I have the first four, but never got back out to the place two-hours away, where I buy my manga.
With that being said though, Happy 52nd Birthday Akira!

Yeah, Toriyama finished it long ago, in total there's 18 volumes... and I think there's around 10 or so which Viz has released.
Happy birthday Toriyama-san, creator of DB and Dr. Slump and direct inspiration for the big three. One Piece, Naruto and Bleach.
