Dragonball Z: Season 2 Confirmation
Confirming what we had posted back at the beginning of the month, FUNimation Entertainment has officially announced that the Dragon Ball Z Season Two set will hit the streets on May 22, 2007. Dragon Ball Z Season Two includes the Namek and Captain Ginyu Sagas. The set will be available at major retailers nationwide at an SRP of $49.98. Wait its going to be 50 bucks? WTF? I thought they would all be 40 bucks, Is there even 39 episodes on this next box set?

Volume 1 was $50 as well.

This set will have 35 episodes and the Ginyu saga WILL be re-dubbed to keep consistent with the rest of the dub. That means Kyle Hebert will do the Narrator while (I think) Jeice and Burter will be re-done as well as others.

^Most of that Saga was shown on TV 2 years ago and the voices were better than the First dub.
So Im guessing that the next Box set will have the Frizea/Garlic Jr sagas.

Yes, you can pre-order from Amazon for $37.49 for the Dragon Ball Z Season Two set. That seems to be the best pricen so far, unless someone out there knows of a better price.

The actual Ginyu Saga started 7 episodes after the Ginyu force first appeared. The Ginyu saga was first shown in like 1998-99 when FUNimation split from Ocean. These are the episodes they're redubbing, so that's 6 or 7 epsiodes. Plus the Frieza Saga might be, I think that Raditz and Dodoria as well as other characters had different voices in flashbacks. Plus the Narration will be completley new up until the Great Saiyaman Saga, plus the US/JP hybrid version is something new. It's also a consistent (orange) release, so these are definatly the DVDs to get. Can't wait till they get the later Sagas!
