Monday Screenshot Update! Weeks 41-42
You know the drill --- It's Monday, and that means MFG has updated parts of the image gallery with brand new anime screenshots for everyone to enjoy. This week we have screenshots from: Dragonball GT, Kochikame, Death Note, D.Gray-man, and One Piece.
As requested by forum member Dbgohan08 (one of the winners from our "Monday Request"), this Monday's update includes screenshots from the 53rd episode of Dragonball GT (entitled: Saying Goodbye /// Pan Dies!? The Tears of 10x's Kamehameha). Thus the video is not only in widescreen, but has a much larger resolution -- making the quality very impressive. But for whatever reason, TOEI Animation has decided to not keep these episodes in this format when releasing them on DVD. Instead they feature the episodes in 4:3 (with the edges cropped off), and quality on par with the rest of the series. Which means, this is one of very, very few cases where the TV rip looks better than the DVD rip. Because of this, for these episodes we will be using special unresized TV RAWs as our source material for screenshots of these episodes. There is some argument about the actual quality differences in the earlier HD episodes --- with them apparrently not actually being "real" HD. But when you get to the point we're offering, there's no question that they are in every way, better than the DVD releases. More One Piece HD episodes are now available for reqeusts. The Monday Request!!!: What will I be doing screenshots for next update? That's for you to decide! Simply post a comment to this post on our forums, and the first two people who post a comment (which includes their request) wins! Just read the following paragraph first! Since the entire Movie Dragon Box has now been completed, we will be moving over to the Dragonball GT Dragon Box (as well as adding in a few new animes!). I will only accept two requests (1 request per person) for two of the following features/episodes listed below:
** We will move over to the Dragonball Dragon Box with the completion of the DBGT Dragon Box. If you're request is one of the movies/episodes listed above (and you're one of the first two people to make a request), then we'll have DVD / HD / Dragon Box-quality screenshots of it up next Monday!
