Dragonball Z: Season 2 Box Set

With Season 1 releasing only days from now, a release date and (possible) box art have popped up on Right-Stuf. The cover uses the same image of Goku that was seen in the Ultimate Uncut Special Editions but now with the Season box set layout. I can't say it would be very hard to fake this image, but Right-Stuf is very good about what they post, and where the same people who gave us our first look at season one's cover.

The current release date for these DVDs is May 22 2007, which several online stores (including Amazon.com are backing up). Retail price is the same, which I know is the deciding factor for most of you. The title of this season set is rumored to be "The Fusion Saga"; But I've got to say that really doesn't make any sense. The Piccolo+Nail fusion possibly?

Exactly my thoughts. They shoulda just could it the Original Namek Saga. Or Frieza Saga Part One / Two. Or Just Frieza Saga. This set looks a bit lame tho. I mean they shoulda put Piccolo on the front or Frieza. Actually, FRIEZA IS THE character to put on this set. Goku's pic looks rele lame. Since we've seen it before on the Ultimate Uncut Special Editions. And I don't want another Goku! :( Oh well, if this is what they put on the Boxed Cover, then I guess i'll have to live with it... But still, Calling it "The Namek Saga" Or "Frieza Saga" Is more logical. There has ONLY been one Fusion in the "Namek" Saga (Originally called) hence the Piccolo / Nail Fusion once been said. & FRIEZA, IS still THE better character to put on this Set! Goku's fine I guess but.. Seen him too often. Need a "Boss" Character (as they'd call it in a Video Game :P) On the front cover like with Vegeta.

I agree, it doesn't make any sense. But it still is early and they might have a different title or artwork for this set. Or maybe they are jumping around and putting out sets out of chronological order. Anything is possible.[^o)]

i think friezas first form should be on the front of this box and if funimation are going to change each saga's name they should call this one Frieza Saga because here we meet frieza and the next saga 'Super Saiyan Saga' for when goku transforms.

I have already got my season 1 box set and on the sie of the box is the first half of a 'D' so when you put all the dragonball season box's 2geva they will show DragonBall Z! i hope funimation release somthing to hold them all together like a box. because that would look smart

You have this set! Please tell me if this set is Regions 1, 2 and 4 It should usually say on the side off the box set or DVD's. Please tell quickly! :P

i dont know wer to look for the region code... but it says NTSC with 1, 2 and 4 behind it. is that it? if not i would expect it to be region 1 as its american. but im from the uk and it still works in my dvd player.

Ahh, I can rest easy now thanks to you :) and yep, it should have NTSC 1, 2 & 4 Thanks for this! Because I live in the UK, as Regions 1 won't work here... Which sucks for me since I love DBZ.. UK doesn't have ANY DBZ DVD's apart from 3 crappy ones that are the movies for Lord Slug cover titled... "Super Saiya Son Goku" (Yes... Saiya) The World's Strongest A.K.A The Strongest Guy In The World & The Tree Of Might A.K.A Super Battle In The World... See how crap these sound already?

I got mine today aswell! I swear it's actually THE perfect DBZ process! I got mine for £30, which is dirt cheap in the UK... I'm watching Disc 5 + 6 because i've seen the first 4 before, Widescreen isn't so bad. But I think it's something different to watch otherwise... At least we can see the ENTIRE Picture! It's good to have the Movie Theme Tune on though! :) The Japanese Music with English Voices sound great, the American soundtrack was irritaiting... It sounds more interesting. Voices can be heard better. It's actually sounds perfecto! Can't wait for the Ginyu Saga / Frieza / Garlic Jr. / Trunks / Androids + Sets! These Sets are awesome! If you prefer the American Soundtrack, They're added on the "Set Up" Section. It feels like an more intense Dragon Ball Series! (The Japanese With English Voice Track Selection!) :D now we've experieanced the *True* DBZ feeling! They must remaster "Dragon Ball" !! GT would be nice too but, to be honest it sucks! This Set is a worthy purchase! BUY!!

Really? I got mine for £17 New from the US. I'm gald FUNi are making a consistent release at last. The JP/US Hybrid version sounds great!
