Default Last Japanese Dragonball Z DVDs!!

TOEI Animation has just released the covers for the last four "Dragonball Z Individual Dragon Box Set DVDs"; Volumes 46, 47, 48, and 49 (and don't expect to see any re-releases like FUNimation --- this is it). Like always, the DVDs will have 6 episodes per volume and cost about $36 USD each. Click on the thumbnail below to view a larger-sized version of the same image:

These DVDs will cover episodes 268-291 of the Dragonball Z anime (with 291 being the last episode of the series), and are set to release in stores accross Japan Feb/07/2007. If you're looking to buy them we suggest either Amazon.co.jp (only customer account info, and order form pages in English) or CDJapan.co.jp (completely in English).
Before buying, please understand that these DVDs have NO English dialogue and NO English subtitles. On top of that they are NTSC/Region 2 DVDs, which means you need a TV/DVD setup that can support NTSC/Region 2. The main selling point with these DVDs for those who don't know Japanese, is the quality of the video and audio which has been beautifully digitally remastered and restored.

Immagine they remade every single thing of dbz in those 2d graphics, or artwork, meanig movies, specials, dragonball/z/gt like the intro's of the budokai games and sagas but this is even better. Using this artwork is a great influence.

This artwork is from the same company who did make the entire Dragon Ball animation franchise. It's just that since 1998 when GT ended, TOEI Animation has improved it's company in quality because of new animators who have gathered over the years and that technology has improved. And this improved artwork style which TOEI are using for these Dragon Ball Z DVDs is also the same artistic and animation quality found in Budokai 2, 3 and that Saga game.
Basically if Dragon Ball was made into Anime form now instead of back during the 80's through to the 90's, we would have this style of artwork and animation quality from TOEI for the series.

If they got rid of the fillers then the episode would only be on for like 11 minutes or less.

I think they should just end it now and let them rest in peace. Besides, how many different versions of the same thing do we need? Hopefully, there will be something new down the road we can all become obsessed on.[lol]

No need to remake an already fantastic series.
But as I keep saying, it would be really neat to see another animated movie from the series.

With respect, I think that's a terrible idea. Asside from a few useless filler scenes and GT, I think that the Dragonball anime is a great series. Furthermore I like the anime just the way it is (as do many others). If you despise fillers so much that it makes you dislike the series as a whole, then read the manga. There's no need to transform the anime into the manga's clone.
