As I posted earlier this month, TOEI Animation has officially announced that they will continue their "Individual Dragon Box Set DVD" releases after the completion of DBZ. Come April 4th 2007, they will begin to release the original Dragonball anime series.
Just recently TOEI has announced further details regarding these DVDs: - All 153 episodes will be released in a total of 26 volumes - Volumes 1-23 will contain 6 episodes per volume/DVD (apprx. 150 mins per DVD) - Volumes 24-26 will contain 5 episodes per volume/DVD - Each month 3 volumes will be released simultaneously - More diorama sets will be released (similar to how the DBZ dioramas were done) - Each volume will retail for 3990 yen (apprx. $31.77 USD) - Each volume will showcase newly illustrated DVD covers - The first 3 volumes will release on 4/4/2007 in Japan

Talk about beating a Dead Horse. I know they've had these episodes released before and I bet nothing extra comes with these DVD's.
Nice to see this! Will this be like the DBZ Remasters? But Dragon Ball Remasters?
Yep! DBZ is the only DBZGT series currently available on DVD in Japan. While TOEI has had DB, DBZ, DBGT, and the movies all remastered and released, they were only in stores as box sets (known as Dragon Boxes), and for a very short period of time. Very exciting for fans wanting the Dragon Box remasters, but were not able to get them when they first released.

This is pretty sweet, but I don't think I'll be getting these due to the fact I have the American releases of the DragonBall Box Sets, that is all of them except for the Goku Saga since FUNimation hasn't gotten the rights to distribute that saga yet. I have the edited version though, so all I need is it uncut and I'll have completed my DragonBall collection.
I do have a question for you Sharky though. Do you know if these will even come to America, and if so, will they be in English?
These definetly will not be coming to the US, or anywhere outisde of Japan.
That's also what was said about the DragonBall Z Dragon Boxes. I mean, sure we aren't getting the Dragon Box in the USA persay, but in a way we are with the new FUNimation Remasters. So, who really knows?!? O_o
