Dragonball Z video game sequel "Sparking! NEO" released in Japan last Thursday. Click here to order it online. The English version (entitled "Budokai Tenkaichi 2" / Atari) is set to hit stores on November 7th this year.
Shueisha has revealed next months release schedule, and surprise, surprise, no DBZ ani-manga. With this months volume being the end of the current saga, they're taking a 1 month break between the start of the next arc. Here's a surprising release that just slipped right by us -- Dr. Slump Kanzenbans! Last Wednesday saw the release of Dr. Slump Kanzenbans 1 & 2 in Japan. These re-prints (known as "Kanzenbans" or perfect/complete editions) are released on larger, higher quality paper, and have all of the original color artwork restored. And it looks like Shueisha will continue with the Kanzenbans, releasing a new volume each month! Volume 3 will be released on the 2nd of next month. Oh wouldn't it be nice if VIZ released their manga this fast. Now I know we aren't a Dr. Slump website, but (for those who don't) this was the series Akira Toriyama made before the Dragonball trilogy. So speaking of Dr. Slump, TOEI Animation has announced that they will be releasing 2 Dr. Slump Anime DVD Box Sets! Just like they did with DBZGT (Dragon Boxes); With beautifully remastered footage and special extras in a deluxe box. The anime will be released in two different box sets: The "Hoyoyo" series, and the "N-cha" series. N-cha on 03/23/2007 and Hoyoyo on 09/14/2007 -- both for $850+ USD. Click here to pre-order.

I like the eye patch.

I was always curious about Slump, I always pick it up in the manga store and look at it for 5 minutes, then put it down thinking I'm risking my money on buying it.
EDIT: <3 Arale.
The slump box sets are expensive (about $850 USD each). But after seeing what's been done with the Dragon Boxes, it seems likely TOEI will go back and release the content in the box sets individually on DVDs.
wow I didnt now so many people in Japan like Dr. S. I dont think he was on the top 100 list. Man way too much for me I'll have to wait until they make a dub or until someone puts them on You Tube.

Dr. Slump is WAY different From Bobobo yes there both random but Dr. Slump has alot of the same hummer in DB which is how I got in to Dr.Slump. And atleast they dont have a white man with a afro using noise hairs to fight.
The series isn't licensed so MAYBE some fansubs will popup on the internet. I'm doubtful though --- It's rare to see a fansubber pay money for material.
Why isnt Viz dubbing it? Or Funimation? I know if you said from the creator of DBZ people would watch it. I know there would be 243 episodes.to do Plus if they did the other 74 episodes but I think they should at least Dub the first arc/season to see if people would like it. I would be a good trade off for Bobobo on Toonami. (if they didn't edit it too bad)

I'm not sure why no one's licensed it.
I know Harmony Gold or someone tried to dub it in the 80's before they tried Dragonball, and had no luck. But on the other hand, they're like halfway through the Manga, and it seems to be doing fine. Maybe FUNimation will go after it when they're completely finished with DBZGT.
