Battle Stadium D.O.N. Cover Art

Cover art for the upcoming video game "Battle Stadium D.O.N" has been revealed, and can be seen below:

Battle Stadium D.O.N. will be releasing on Playstation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube, July 20, 2006 accross Japan. If you'd like to see the Gamecube version of the cover art (which is practically identical to the PS2 one shown above), click here.

I don't know whether to be glad that Dragon Ball will be making another appearance for the fans or sad that it's just being slapped on a crossover game for the sake of making more money for someone overseas. I think I'll continue to have mixed feelings on this up until it's released.

If it were early dragonball, it would fit in well. But having super saiyans fight Luffy? I don't really like the concept.

Yep. Here's my interpretation on what would happen if they were to fight.

Gokuu: What the hell? What am I doing here?

Luffy: Hey, cool hairdo! Will you join my crew?

Gokuu: Sure, if you give me an all-you-can-eat! I'm starved!

Luffy: No %@#$ing way!

Gokuu: Then I'll fight you for it!*goes SSj*, causing an explosion of such magnitude that the entire ship and its crew are wiped out, and the landscape changes

Luffy: You bastard!! *hits him on the nose with a Gomu-Gomu, only to have his fist slit in half

Gokuu again: Whoops, looks like I destroyed all the food they had. Damn..*flies away looking for high ki signatures*

Meanwhile, back at Konoha...

One of the guards: Godaime-sama!! We spotted a strange man flying around the country at such high speeds that storms are brewing!! The Daimyou has requested for Konoha to track down and destroy this man!!

Tsunade: Damn, and to think we'd finally get a vacation this summer..go send Naruto and his team!!

same as above: Yes, ma'am! But what do you mean vacation? We get thousands of misions each day, every single day of the year.

Tsunade: Just shut your @$$ up and go get Naruto!! *breaks office in half

Gokuu: Damn, looks like when I tried focusing as hard as I could, I ended up on a parellel universe..

Naruto: Hey! Come down here!!

Sakura: Naruto, not so loud!! thumps him on the head, only to have his skull cracked*

Naruto: Sakura-chan.. He is up there in the sky, yanno..

Sakura: *blushes* good point.

Sai: I'll try to bring him down. *makes a giant hawk*

Gokuu: Hey! Maybe I can eat that!! *throws a ki-ko-ha at it, only to have it explode and shower ink all over Yamato's team

Gokuu again, enraged: You bastards!! Though you could just go and trick me into eating that, huh? *goes SSJ3* THINK AGAIN!!!KAMEHAMEHA!!!!

Narrator: And so, enraged Gokuu obliterates the universe and so ends the story of..wait a minute, was there even a story to begin with?

You guys take it far to seriously, it's just a fun fighting party game. "LOL OMG DBZ WUD WIN" it isn't about power. D;

It's just about fun and fighting, messing around. I wish YYH was in it, it'd be even more awesome. Plus any game with Tony Tony Chopper as a playable character wins.

But if you guys want to be serious about this, then you need to realize ANY DB/Z/GT game is JUST as inaccurate! Gogeta vs. Radditz, Frieza vs. Majin Buu, the list goes on. Basically Goku can beat any character, wheather it be Naruto, Luffy, or Piccolo!

So since it's going to be inaccurate anyways....wouldn't you rather include characters from two other great anime series? Seriously, there's only so many times they can re-make the same story and characters over and over...

(Sigh)...you're right on this matter. On a related note, it's the only reason I feel positive on this game. The dream to one day see SS3 Goku juggled in mid-air by Luffy! [:O]

Don't get me wrong- Naruto vs. Luffy and Zolo vs. Sasuke would be awesome to watch. I just don't know if throwing DBZ into the mix will feel right. Konohamaru pwning Gogeta is the image I get in my mind when I think of a crossover fight, and that would be really odd to watch.

Accuracy's not really what I care about....like The Chibikiriyama, I
just don't like the concept. I would have loved to see a Dragonball,
One Piece, Naruto crossover.

Luffy has developed gears that increase his speed and potential and a body immune to blunt objects and Naruto has a super-creature living within him that can greatly increase his own stamina and strength to near-limiteless abilities.

Despite me hating Naruto, it wouldn't surprise me if Kyubi or some of the other Biju are potentially capable of destroying worlds, just the fact they didn't want to destroy the planet they're on. Also theres plenty of chakra techniques that nobody wants to mess with.

It wouldn't also be surprising that One Piece had at least one individual with the ability to destroy worlds or such. Even now there are characters who have extreme resistances to physical strikes. Its only a matter of time before theres a character immune to energy (I dunno if Ener counts.)

Either case, just assume that the world that allows all 3 realms to exist in remove all fundimentals, placing all contestants on an even playing field. Also it would make sense that "Super Saiyan" would most likely be part of Goku's finishing moves, and not a perminant fixture. Assume that he's base level while fighting. That should balance the field, at least enough for the DBZ loonies to calm down.

Is there any reports as to whom is playable and what characters arn't?

Sorry pal, but even in his "base" state, he utterly outclasses everyone in both the Naruto and OP universes.(even if they all fought together) Even at base, I assume his power would be easily enough to wipe out Seru(upon absorbing 17) with little effort. (who was stated to have become the strongest in the universe until Supaa Bejiita showed up, btw.)

But It doesn't seem fair to have one character super powerful while the others are super weak

Hopefully this game doesn't "limit" goku's abilities to such a degree where it will be boring to use him or even fight him.
