Assuming I can ever get my current bugs resolved, the way the system will work is that each old forum will be loaded into a specific new forum, so what you've suggested should be fine. I'll do the obvious ones myself. For others, I will ask for help figuring out where they should go when the time comes.

Alright so I can switch my email back and I don't have to change it anymore right?

If I'm interpreting this correctly, you'll have to keep the email address you had on the MFG FoRuMs hosted by Invision Power Board until the post merging is complete. Otherwise the converted posts won't be attached to the current account you have.

Not quite. You will only have to keep your old email address in-place until after I've re-created all of the old users.

I found a work-around to the bug that's been hanging me up, so I'm close now to being able to start the first phase of the recovery process. The code is pretty much done; I'm just doing some final testing to make sure things like posts counts and points get updated correctly.

EDIT: Testing is done, and everything seems to work. I'm planning to start Phase 1 (account recovery) sometime this evening (Pacific Time).
