New default skin

I made a bunch of changes to the default skin, sorta like the ones I made to MFG Forums 4.2 before the upgrade to CS 2007, although I think with the new theming system it came out a little better than before.

Comments and suggestions for further improvement are welcome.

In my opinion, we should lose the picture of SSj4 Goku in the top left-hand corner. It clashes with everything else. But besides that I do like the way the forum looks now, and prefer it over all of the previous versions. Great job, Ace. Now if we could just get a kick-ass banner...

The Goku pic is only intended to be a place-holder (I used the top-rated Goku pic from the main MFG gallery). I just couldn't stand that green CS "tree" any more.

If you have a suggestion for a better logo / pic, I'm all ears!

I like the tree...A lot...>_>;
We should do something animated that draws the eye. If Kid Saiyan was around we could have him do something sweet.

I was thinking. If you want to put a Dragonball picture up there where the SSj4 Goku picture is, it should at least be from the Kanzenban. I know one I think would look pretty good if you could use Photoshop or something like that to cut it out (it's a page from the manga, and the image I'm talking about is on the bottom) and resize it.

What about a picture that only says MFG FoRuMs? Then you could get rid of the "MFG FoRuMs 4.3 : Anime and Manga Oriented Community"? The name wouldn't give exactly what we're all about away, and actually make guests go around and see what we all have to offer. I mean, if it was me anymore and I saw Anime and/or Manga as the sub-title to a site, I'd immediately turn away. Then again that is me.

CS 2007 won't really let us get rid of the MFG Forums 4.3 text. The same text is used in a bunch of different places, such as in page titles.

A graphic with just "MFG" might be OK, though, as long it didn't look redundant next to the text.

A gif with transparency would also be OK, as you've done above.

Another (small) change: dates are now shown as "Today" or "Yesterday" on the thread list and thread (flat view) pages, in addition to the top-level summary pages.

Cool stuff. The green skin..ugh I hated it. This one is better. But there' s gotta be someone on this board who can make an awesome yellow-green Broly skin! Hahah..I wish.

I agree that we need a better banner. Maybe something with DBZ and Naruto. But it would have to be cool and fit the forum atmosphere.
