Close the AF section

I vote to close down the AF section.

Reasons? It's a waste of space, we have the Gas Chamber to and vent off useless, pathetic, worthless crap. We don't need the DBAF section at all. It gains nothing, just a bunch of fools who believe in an April Fools joke. By keeping the section up, it's as if we are welcoming in this kind of idiocity.

There isn't a point in having a discussion section for something that doesn't exist, if people want to write fanfics and talk about them then there is a section for that already.

Well the thing is, people make stupid topics. And those usually end up in the AF section. It's the "misc" drawer of the DBZ section. We really don't want stuff like "Fantasy Fusions" or "Create a move" in the DB/Z/GT section.

It is like one big fanfiction discussion zone. But if it didn't exist ,the main downside is that people would submit their inventive versus matches and what ifs ect into the main DBZ thread. It'd become cluttered and loose any credibility for being a place where we could discuss DB/Z seriously.

I think you may as well leave the AF section where it is. That way disruptive people have got somewhere to dump related posts and not scourged the other section.
Think of that section as a bin, keeping all the clutter in one place.

If the situation that Madness described, i.e. stupid fusion threads appearing in the main section, then Mods can close them in that section and suggest that no more are produced, it should eventually become the "norm".

Truth. Back in the day that's why a lot of people came. Why would you want to close something that gets posts, leaving a section where the entire series has been analyzed right down to the last speck of dust on Goku's boot.

You guys overestimate the intelligence of people, there are definitely still believers of AF. So it will definitely aide in attracting new members to join. Besides that, it's interesting to discuss things like 'where we'd take the series if AF was created'. Not all the topics there are so bad. Anyways AF does play a part in DB 'history', I mean most probably believed it at one point. I vote keep it.

Close it? Forget you guys. If that thing gets closed, it's patrons will bring it's topics into the Gas Chamber, Open Anime and Manga, and the Lounge. Screw that. Containment is merit enough for it to stay open.
