Death Note Section

I think we have a lot of Death Note fans here at MFG, and many suggested it. I think it would be a great idea.

I disagree. There are probably just as many Bleach fans as there are Death Note fans and we see the overwhelming amount of activity in that section. You also have to factor in Bleach has more potential for a forum then Death Note given the possibilities of vs. match-ups. A Death Note section would be doomed to fail.

Maybe if we got a decent statistic of the average MFG'er's top 3 or so anime besides DBZ/Naruto/Bleach, we could make sub-forums for them within Other Anime & Manga?

And, although I love Death Note, why would we need an entire section? Other Manga is a section free to post all the Death Note stuff in the world, but it's not posted that often. Obviously if it was wanted, the threads would show up.

Death Note the Dub is almost over and I think after that what else will continue to make use want to take about it everyday, Bleach, Naruto and even DBZ have projects coming out at least once a month to talk about. I like Death Note but we can just talk about it in the manga section.

There shouldn't be any other anime forums, it'll die pretty fast regardless of the fans intentions and cries.

Desuru Notoru shouldn't get it's own forums, no. It would have a topic made weekly that had something to do with Eru being better than Nearu or Raitoru. Seeing how Desuru Notoru was pretty non action, it's completion spelled the end for just about any kind of discussion that could take place and go somewhere worthwhile.

If there is enough support for Death Note then there should just be a stickied all-purpose thread for Death Note in the other Anime / Manga section like One Piece.
