I dunno, there has been a lot of tension between members on MFG so this could be a perfect place to let off steam like Government, Crime, War, etc. Just a suggestion.

There was a serious debate section here but it was taken down. I believe it was due to inactivity or something like that...

it should be brought back we should make a petition i want to debate stuff. and there should be rule so that we have anime noob free threads because i fear that such a area would have anime versus threads poping up...

I see some pretty good debates in the Lounge from time to time. Just make a topic/post in it. Others are bound to reply and get the ball rolling. Though, I s'pose a 'Debate' sub-forum in the Lounge wouldn't hurt anything if it was actively kept clean of spam. The "Mature 18+ discussion" or whatever it was called certainly had its moments of intrigue.

Only problem with the Lounge is that idiots arrive and spam the topic.

It wouldn't be hard for me to manage it. I frequent the Lounge/chamber anyway, and I doubt a debate board would be flooded with new topics.

I agree with bringing it back, I always liked it and it always seemed to bring in activity. As long as the religious stuff is controlled.

If the Lounge had the right moderation, we wouldn't need the Debate section. If spam was reported more often and topics were viewed often by Moderators, everything could be kept clean, imo.

If the Lounge had the right moderation, it'd still be full of topics about favorite flavors and large hard-on collisions. It would just have less spam within those topics. That's a moot point. We have more than a couple boards for the sole purpose of discussing fictional character match-ups. I don't think a debate forum is too much to ask for.

I very much agree with Manic. I would like to see the Debate section brought back, we obviously need one. Well, I need one.

A debate section would only allow mature topics, things mostly posted in the lounge wouldn't even be spam because mostly anything goes in that board as it's a general topic board and not specific topic. It sure as hell wouldn't hurt to have one.
