Personaly, I would like an.. all-prpose sort of RPG like we had last era, sice that offered a lotta freedom; thats not an option so, o the three you guys are allowin, I'm gonna go with a DBZ/Naruto theme. People who dislike one series could join up for the other, and vice-versa; though, as I said, I'd much rather the old sorta,"open" style we had since... there WERE Naruto characters, Kingdom Hearts II, and so forth in it, despite it being a "DBZ" RPG.

But of those three options, I say DBZ-Naruto cross over, since it means a bit more diversity.

Naruto - Z doesn't translate into Open Anime. Honestly, you're choosing the more diverse one. Who is going to build it? We're basically building two different RPGs, & then connecting them. We need to go in-depth on everything from characters to culture. Members say we want this, but when do they ever go to do it themselves? Then, there's actually connecting the two Systems. That's a project by itself. How does it happen? Why? It all has to flow from there. I can't just make such a RPG appear out of thin air. One is a possibility, but not both.

Hmm... I don't think the two could cross very well whilst still staying true to the two series - as has been said earlier, it would involve upping or downing power, which isn't very cool. Last era, we had many characters which weren't very DBZ at all - they were just originals with aspects such as the energy waves and Dragonballs. Perhaps building on idea of just keeping basic themes could work?

In my opinion a mix wouldn't work... I'm not sure whether I'd prefer Naruto only or DB only so I'm gonna have to leave the vote blank for now... that's just my input, though.

Im going with DBZ all the way guys to be honest I dont watch Naruto so I dont think I wouldnt understand how it would work and im pritty sure a DBZ universe again would take alot less work and we could all get RPing again alot quicker.The dbz rpg was the reason I made my return to MFG

A DBZ theme has already been used and the general idea of it requires quiet a bit of work with the development of races, power levels, disadvantages and advantages, super levels, and other such things. All other issues on this were pretty much discussed in the previous dbz rpg forum.

A Naruto theme sounds new and interesting but fewer people have seen/read Naruto than those who have seen/read DBZ. I've only read 'Naruto' and completely passed on 'Naruto Shippuden.' Another problem with Naruto is that it's hard to add characters from other series into the story. Let's say I were to try and add Goku into a Naruto theme. What jutsu would I put kaioken or SSJ under?

A DBZ-Naruto theme just causes issues. Although I personally liked what I read of the plot put forth previous to the rpg section being closed, the whole mixing of the systems of power would be a mess. Mixing levels of Jutsu with power levels in itself is the major problem. Then you have the whole race and super level thing in DBZ not present in Naruto.

I'm going to agree with the multi-verse idea put forth earlier in this discussion. A more general theme like this allows anyone to join no matter what series they've read/not read.

Honestly, most of the reasoning here is flawed. You'll be crying when what you get isn't what you ask for. Then, there will be more crying because we'll have to Restart again. Members ask for a voice, but don't speak when its given. When they're forced to choose, they choose the invisible Option D. We're not getting an Open-Anime / General-Theme RPG, so get that out of your thick skulls. A Mixed RPG won't make that. A Mixed RPG won't let you play as Ichigo, Sailor Moon, etc. It'll be exclusive to Naruto & Z. Even then, you'll be complaining because it's too complicated. Well, no shit. You wanted us to combine two different concepts into one.

Having Naruto& DBZ would end up only being a problem with their power being alot diffrent and all i think we should do is just go with a Naruto RPG it would be for the best and there are less chances of it being repetive over and over again

Decision made ... We're going with Naruto. But I'm on the fence about having two active major RPG's here. I'm going to have Lazlo work on the DBZ one and we'll work on the Naruto one.

One of two things will happen.

1) We'll start with Naruto and let that get going. Then we might add the DBZ one on MFG.
2) We will only have Naruto and Lazlo will make his own RPG forum and redo it using some of our ideas. We'll then affiliate this forum with his and you can go there for all your DBZ RPG goodness.

I'm hoping we can do both but not right away. That's just doomed to failure. I'll leave this open for now ... but don't get all bitchy because, a) I don't care and b) I will close it.
