I can't seem to edit some of my posts.

Like it vanishes after a day or so.

Is your computer, or Internet connection slow, and it goes invisible as its still loading. It happens to me sometimes Sloth.

Tell me which forums this is happening in and I'll have a look. But it seems possible that it's a shift connection on your end. Screenshots would be a bonus as well.

It is happening to me on the Creative Writting Forum, on a couple, in my fan fic.
It has been doing it for a little while now that I think about.
I do not have a screen shot, but the button is just not there at all.

To take screen shots, hit the Prt Scr button next to F12, then circle the missing part in paint, cut out whats needed, open a new file, paste it, and save and upload it. Unless you have a mac, then your first step of action should be to get a real computer.

Second'd to the max. Especially the mac part.

But ya, if we can get an idea of what's going on I'm let Ace know and see if it's a bug or not, or if it's a connection thing. Since it's happening to quite a few and the rest of the buttons load I'm inclined to believe it isn't a connection issue. We'll see where this leads.

Ok, there's nothing I can really see that's going to fix it, so I'll have to hand it off to Ace at this point. I don't know if it's a standard vB issue, or if that's just the way it is.

Yeah, this has occurred to me on several occasions. For example, a really old post I had in the "What are you listening to" thread, and the only one there, mind you, lacks ~~hatred~~the edit button. It's about two months old, and I couldn't care less about it, but what about the other posts that really matter, such as some good points you made but want to revise(for rep, lol)?

So yeah, I request that this be rectified immediately, along with that extra-page one which has put me off for weeks. It happens EVERYWHERE.

I noticed that some people starting editing really old posts. I'm not sure why that should ever be needed, and it's an area of potential abuse.

So I set the maximum age of a post that can be edited to 2880 minutes (2 days).
