Exactly.

Having a 20-people rep limit only promotes rep-whoring. It keeps the people who deserve maximum reppage from getting...maximum reppage.

Is there a way that we can see what we've given out? I know we can find the post and it will say we've already repped it, but if there is a way to see all of it in a big list, that would be cool.

If you want to give out reputation, just go to one of the multiple Itachi vs topics. You'll find tons of reasons to hand out huge amounts of negative reputation to an assload of people, therefore enabling you to award reputation again to the one you want. =/

But srsly, the reputation system sucks, from what I've seen, noone uses it except a few who use it just for fun. Plus it's really awkward, having to give reputation to 20 people before you can give again, I mean there aren't even 20 active people on MFG (there are, but you get the point).

Good point. I agree with Felix, it should be based on time, with maybe 5 points to give out everyday or two.

I can see why they set the limit. Since if it was any lower, the place would be rep-whored instantly. Like this, it actually acknoledges (I know I butchered that >_>) a select few.

Also, Felix, I looked on my Control Panel and don't see how you can look at the comments.

It's on the bottom of the screen that you get to by pressing "Control Panel". Have you gotten any? There won't be anything if no one has given you any.

I'm at 12. >_> Still, the bottom most of my Control Panel is "Attatchments". That's only on the small panel to the side. The rest is just "Subscribed threads".

The visible points are 1 for every year you've been here, 1 for every 1000 posts, and 1 for every 100 reputation earned. I belive that is what you're talking about. If nothing is showing up, I don't think you have had anyone rep you yet. I will; see if you can see it.

That still wouldn't make sense though. I've only been here for 2 years and am only in the 9,000s. That would be 11. Also, it was 11 starting into the new year so it doesn't have that I've been here for 3 years yet.

Edit: Just saw that you repped me. still dunno how it's at 12 instead of 11 though.

I think you get one for the move. If you are an imported user, I think you get one. My year isn't up yet, see, and I have two. I had one when we started 5.0, and just gained one more when I posted over 1,000. I believe that was Ace said, in that question topic awhile ago. I'd have to look it up when I'm less lazy.

There might be a way to reduce the amount of times you need to rep other people before you can double up on repping someone again. But I can't guarantee that, but we'll see. Again, this is something I'll have to run past Ace so we'll just see.

New features in vBulletin -- your help is needed

I just lowered the number of users you have to rep before you can rep the same person again from 20 to 10. Hope that helps.
