No. It's against the rules to revive a thread and not contribute anything that would further the understanding of the topic to the reader.

Basically, if you have something good to say, go ahead and revive it.

Yes?

*sighs*

Posting a two word answer to a thread that's over a year old does not equal a worth while contribution. Generally speaking reviving threads aren't against the rules although I think they should be since it doesn't accomplish anything...

Well, there are plenty of guests who read very old topics. It's MFGs library so to speak.

Ah...ok, I don't see what that has to do with anything.

Also this needs to go in the help/feedback section.

<_< Whatever. I'm just saying that good contributions to the earlier threads are good contributions for the readers.

I personally see no issue with reviving old threads. As long as he/she is not spamming, any member should be allowed to post anywhere he/she wishes.

Us Administrator's have talked amoungst ourselves in the past about this issue and we pretty much came to the conclusion that it isn't against the rules to revive an old topic, but your post should have worthwhile meaning to it.
