Anyway, JC, the ads are based off of what people are searching for plus what they're thinking about. Stop searching for it "and" thinking about it, it should go away then. I was very specific so don't try to dodge it. :)

But to be honest this is what's called targetted marketing. All it's doing is pulling random shit that it thinks, based on your google searches or general pages visited, that you might be interested in. Now don't get me wrong, I know you're not into that, but for some reason google is advertising some BS to you because you visit other anime related sites. Epic phail for google. Not Niku's fault, but this definitely upped the hilarity factor and easily got me through my day today.

I think it displays the most recent Google searches, in general, that pertain to where the ads are placed. Thus, "Anime" is linked to MFG so when someone searched "Anime Rape" it was placed up as an ad on MFG (and anywhere else where "Anime" is an ad term).

They're just ads at the bottom of the page nonetheless. I hardly ever notice them.

Actually, if you look at the guests it's mostly spiders, they crawl around and gather info from the site to help people when looking through their search engine. I think the same rule applies for what ads are shown on the site.

Like on a board I'm on, because it has word phoenix in the title, a lot of times the ads are for Phoenix University, or some other phoenix-y thing. I think it reads what you're looking at on the page, or what you have looked at and bases what ad to show from there.
