I've added a temporary avatar and signature, the latter for promoting my request thread, and it doesn't even show up on the forums for some reason without going into my profile on this computer, and I'm pretty sure that's the case with the other guys too. Is this..some kind of a glitch from the move over to VBulletin, or is it just me?

EDIT: Signature shows up here now, but not on the other forums for some reason. Now what?

I think it's a cache issue. We encountered this while we were testing the forum before it went live. It should show up in a little while. If it doesn't I'm sure Ace will chime in and remedy this for you. But for now just wait and it should work shortly.

Also note, the cacheing issue isn't as big a problem now that we're on VB, on CS it used to take forever for everything.

Oh, okay. Hopefully that will be the case.

I wasn't a user on CS, just visitor every now and then. So I wouldn't know, but what I do know and remember is that the pages loaded really, really slowly. Sucks for dial-up users, heh.

It sounds like a side-effect of the migration from CS.

I made a change in the database for you -- is it working now?

EDIT: since you weren't a CS user, then I think the problem was that when you don't have a signature, the per-post flag that says whether to display a sig is turned off by default. So then when you do finally create a sig, it doesn't show up on those old posts.

I checked another thread they've posted in and it seems to be working now. It wasn't before in that same thread so it looks like your fix worked Ace.

Yep, I hurriedly went to check in multiple threads in different sections just to make sure and my sig was showing on each of them. Much thanks to Ace for his fix, can someone close this now.
