It would be great if we got back to the success of where you'd need to be on constantly to keep up with the posts. Like how it was towards the end of our Invision Power Board run. That's my goal, anyway.

That's a damn fine goal.

This site kept my attention all day yesterday and and today (with the exception of the few hours I was at work.). Albeit some of the things that kept me here today I am not proud of.

This says that, not only do I have no life, but this place is more interesting than any other place on the internet is to me.

Looks like it's dying down just a little bit, but I think since there's lots of time left today it won't altogether stop.

Just wondering, maybe we should post an announcement on the websites saying that we've migrated to a new forum and for any and all guests to come and check us out,

I think that's a great idea Punxx. I'd do it, but am currently downloading 5 episodes of a great kids show I haven't seen for like 10 or more years, and its really making my computer lag badly. So if nobody's done it by the time they're done downloading, I'll get right to it.

I was just going to say something about having 41 Total Member's online. Granted, as you said, only 26 of them are actually Member's and/or signed on right now, but this is definately better from the constant 10 we had with Community Server.

Indeed it is. I certainly hope this is only the beginning.

This level of activity is simply amazing, only one section hasn't been posted in the last 24 hours and second to that the Naruto sections last post was an hour ago, everything else is less than that! I can't remember when MFG was so active.

This move is probably the best thing that could have been done for MFG.

Now you guys know why I said months ago to move to vbulletin. :p
It's a huge step in the right direction. Colors, graphics, and functionality are all improved. It's much more user friendly and it just runs smoother. Amazing software sure can do amazing things. And yeah, activity is definitely not dragging itself through the mud, unlike version cs. I honestly think it was only because of cs that our activity ran so low. The activity connection between ipb and vb is unreal and it isn't just a coincidence that it's like this.

Somebody grab that guy that spoke like a scientist (it was "kiri" something...), I miss that guy.

Yeah, he'll absolutely love this forum compared to cs.

As opposed to forcing myself to stay on cs, I never want to leave this forum! That in itself is a good sign, best sign of all is that we're just getting started. This from what I see is just a basic vb board with no add-ons/skins as of yet. I can only imagine what it'll be like in coming weeks.

Nah Ace has done quite a bit of behind the scenes work here and there. We were here when it was much more of a shell than it is now. But ya, always more work to do.

Default Re: Activity

Our maximum number of users online number has been slowly going up -- it hit 42 today. Even though that includes guests, the number of guests should be much less than on CS, since I've clamped down heavily in the URLs that spiders are allowed to see.

I think I probably will add a few more plug-ins eventually. They are a bit of a maintenance headache, though, so there won't ever be too many.

The number of members online is obviously improving because I'm back. I mean, come on, everyone loves me. It really is nice to see things looking like they did back in the day, though.

The overall number of page views has gone up by about 50%. We're at about 65% of where we were at the previous peak of activity with MFG 3 -- and that's only after two days.
