I don't know if this is written in stone somewhere but what's the rule with reviving topics? I've see people reviving year old topics just to post "Blank wins" with no consequence while others revive like 4 month old topics with somewhat constructive posts and get yelled at.

We allow people to bump topics in certain instances if it eithers helps the topic along or if it is relevant to the topic at hand, but if you see someone has bumped a topic and think the bump was not worthy, then please instruct a Staff Member towards that topic. They'll make the best judgement call to their ability.

As Superior says, in general it's OK to respond to old topics -- that's a big part of why we keep them around. Especially formerly-popular ones, since they sometimes get popular again.
