Release Date: March 24th - PlayStation®Portable (PSP™), three-dimensional-CG games incorporating high-quality, full-motion video similar to PlayStation®2 can be played anytime, anywhere with PSP. PSP is scheduled to be launched in Japan in the end of 2004, followed by the North American and European launches in the spring of 2005.
PSP comes in a black color, with a 16:9 widescreen TFT LCD centered in a sleek ergonomic design with a high-quality finish that fits comfortably in the hands. The dimensions are 170mm x 74mm x 23mm with a weight of 260g. PSP features a high-quality TFT LCD that displays full color (16.77 million colors) on a 480 x 272 pixel high-resolution screen. It also comes complete with the basic functions of a portable player such as built-in stereo speakers, exterior headphone connector, brightness control and sound mode selection. Keys and controls inherit the same operability of PlayStation® and PlayStation 2, familiar to fans all over the world. PSP also comes equipped with diverse input/output connectors such as USB 2.0, and 802.11b (Wi-Fi) wireless LAN, providing connectivity to various devices in the home and to the wireless network outside. The world of gaming is further enhanced by enabling users to enjoy online gaming, or by connecting multiple PSPs to each other, directly via the wireless network. In addition, software and data can be downloaded through a USB or wireless network onto Memory Stick™ PRO Duo. All of these features can be enjoyed on one single system. PSP adopts a small but high-capacity optical medium UMD™ (Universal Media Disc), enabling game software, rich with full-motion video and other forms of digital entertainment content, to be stored. The newly developed UMD, the next-generation compact storage media, is only 60mm in diameter but can store up to 1.8GB of digital data. A broad range of digital entertainment content such as music video clips, movies and sports programs can be provided on UMD. To protect this entertainment content, a robust copyright protection system has been developed which utilizes a combination of a unique disc ID, a 128 bit AES encryption keys for the media, and individual ID for each PSP hardware unit. SCEI intends to aggressively promote PSP and UMD as the new handheld entertainment platform for the coming era. |

Duo has now tried posting News also but gets the same error. Until we figure this out I'll be closing this topic since really the News posted here won't get onto MFG's Main Site for quite some time.
About the Links, Sharky put up Insanity. They are viewable but something has been set on your computer so you can't go into that site which is why it brings up the message "You are not authorized to view this page." Locked until further notice. EDIT: Ace has got the News section back up and running so if you have News you'd think would be great for MFG's Main Page just post it here. Thanks!

Bandai goes fighting for gold
With One Piece: Grand Battle due out in september One pice grand battle delivered a one-two punch of anime based battlers at E3. Producer Yoshiya Tanaka said that the fighting format was a great way yo show off the skills of the pirating show's characters and give them a more game friendly look. the seven evirorments are also stylized re-creations. "we took the original scenes from the show and started throwing in more things to make it fun and interactive." said Tanaka. the extras include objexts that the fighters can pick up and throw, and moving obstacles such as a charing cow. the developers also added a huge number of unlockables "from hidden characters to stages to very miniscule stuff that fans of the game or fans of the property will appreciate" there are so many unlockables , in fact , that Tanaka is convinced that no single player will be able to find them all.

From now on we'd like it here if whoever has some News for us to post on the MFG Main Page would try their best at getting the grammar right. I'm not doing this to point you out, Hunter. It's just that I'd like them to see what I mean by making sure the grammar is right.
Now here is the post from, The Hunter: QUOTE Bandai goes fighting for gold With One Piece: Grand Battle due out in september One pice grand battle delivered a one-two punch of anime based battlers at E3. They're so many unlockables, in fact, Tanaka is convinced that no single player will be able to find them all. As I previously said, Hunter. I'm not trying to point you out because I'm sure anyone/everyone that's posted in here for something to go up on the Main Page could've read through their post and made sure things were right like Capitalization, Punctuation, Grammar, Spelling, ect. So people, keep on bringing us News if you find out any just keep these things in mind. Thanks!

Vizualize World Piece One Peace Platform: GBA Publisher: Bandai Developer: Dimps Release: Fall 2005 Pirates and platformers come together in Shonen Jump's One Piece, A GBA-exclusive title based on the offbeat Japanese anime that has recently premiered on Cartoon Network. Quite a few One Piece games have been developed and released in Japan-this is the first to appear in North America. The anime features a band of pirates known as the straw hat crew in search of One Piecce, a treasure hidden long ago by an infamous pirate. In the game, you'll follow the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy as he searches the East blue Sea for the treasure, fighting framiliar enimes along the way. The gameplay is pretty straightforward platforming-sublevels, powerups, minibosses and final bosses appear on every level. One Piece's more unique feature is Luffy's ability to summon his shipmates to join the fight and preform special attacks. In addition, a handfull of customizeable minigames can be unlocked throughout the game. Hope thats better Superior.

Okay here's something new and...slightly strange. A new Dragonball Z game but with a twist.
![]() It is called "Let's Play TV: Kamehameha!" where you wear some gloves and actually fire at the tv screen. The helmet this guy is wearing isn't apart of it, but you wear gloves. So now you can fire Kamehameha's and small energy blasts just like in the Anime at your TV. Bizarre and an Interesting concept is it not? I just edited your post Jammy and put that smaller picture in there. It has been added to the Main Page and to the Announcement/News section. Keep bringing us that News, folks! |

Thanks for that News Jammy. I'd post it up on the Main Page but am not sure how big the pictures can be. That might just be too big for it. If you could edit your post and size it down that would be great. Then it could go up. Thanks!
[Edit: I just recently went through this whole topic and saw that this was first a thread to find someone to help post on the Main Page, then turned into having your news posted on the Main Page. Seeing as those that read the whole topic might get confused I'm going to close this and start a new one. Thank you all for your replies in here. -CLOSED-]
