So, by making prostitution legal, the door isn't open further for these sex slaves to be openly accepted by the public, and harder to catch by the police, right?

If they're slaves too scared for their lives to try and get help, the legality of prostitution isn't going to make it any easier for them to go to police. If anything, a tighter fist would be kept on them.

Women choosing the prostitution path of life DO in fact put themselves in the way of harm. That's irrefutable. If you go looking to hook up with aroused men who aren't thinking clearly because of their erections, that's just asking for trouble.

That's because it isn't right. The men are still responsible for whatever they do. The prostitutes aren't off the hook, either, though. Because of the activities they chose to pursue, they're setting themselves up for this kind of thing to happen.

A victim is never responsbile for an attack on their being. You cannot blame a beaten wife for "talking back" when her husband is drunk. You cannot blame a lynched black man for kissing a white woman. You cannot blame a prostitute for being abused while walking the streets.

In this case you can to an extent. Its the same as how you could blame someone for getting beat down if they walked up to a crowd of gangstas and picked a fight, and to a lesser extent if they were dumb enough to walk past the gangstas if they had another route to take(although obviously, most of the blame does not fall on them in these situations, its more a 'your a fucking idiot' sorta thing)

If some fool stands in the middle of a highway, I suppose I can't say that he was partly at fault for being ran over because he decided to do such a thing. He's clearly the victim, and he's completely absolved of anything he could have done to avoid the situation.

If you don't want to get hit by a car, don't stand in the street. If you don't want to get raped, don't walk shady areas getting men aroused and then trying to sell them your body. It's not a cure all. These things will still inevitably happen sometimes. However, we all should have the common sense to take obvious preventative measures from being harmed.

I'd say both of those comparisons are off. It's more like a miner who dies in an accident. If the mine collapsed or there was gas, you don't say that it was partially the miner's responsibility for taking a dangerous job. Some people take what they can get.

It's the same principle. The difference with the miner is that he would usually be guaranteed some kind of safety by the company. With something as under the table and dodgy as prostitution, many time no such guarantees are present, especially when working alone. The people working it should have the good sense to know that in those conditions, bad things very likely happen. It's sticking your hand in the fire.

There's jobs to be found where you don't put yourself on the line like with Prostitution. It may not be as easy a find, but you can bet your buttons it'll pay off in the long run by being safer, and legitimate to boot.

Luckily, if it were legal, we woudln't have to worry about it being under the table and dodgy, as street workers would probably decline in favor of licensed brothels.

What about drug addicts, a problem I think many prostitutes suffer from.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here. You mean prostitutes suffer from being drug addicts? There's no one to blame here but themselves. If you don't want to be an addict, don't do things to get addicted, and certainly don't supplement that addiction by selling yourself to cover it.
