It's hard to argue that he is not the worst. As soon as he came in, the economy went down hill, at least during Clinton's years it was pretty good. His bad decisions, has hurt us too much. Myabe he is not the worst, but he's pretty close to it. Most of our economy issues are is fault, due to that war. Also we can't expect much, from a man who barely got through college with a low C average.

I know fuck all about the American Presidents. But It depends on how badly did the economy suffer during the Vietnam War. That detirmines who was worse between Bush and whoever was president at that time.

Yes, by far. You don't need to study presidents to know that, because, if there was a president that damaged our economy as much as Bush, he'd be mentioned a lot more.

So Bush himself flew the planes into the Twin Towers? I don't think so. Bush is a good president who was faced with an extreme situation. Being in charge doesn't come with a manual. I'd say he's done a good enough job so far by not just rolling over and taking that shot.
You can cut and run if you want but he chose to fight.

He chose to give up on pursuing a terrorist leader who claimed responsibility for the plane crashes, and instead go after a dictator that, according to him, was an immediate threat due to his WMDs. We all know how that turned out.
Sure, presidency may not come with a manual, but doesn't he pick his cabinet? The President of the United States must surely have the means to at least TALK to somebody who knows what to do in certain situations. |

Well, when you say the worst President, you could argue Nixon, being that most of his policies were run on the incentive of personal opinion, and lets not forget Watergate, however in terms of royally screwing your people, Bush wins. I mean, I'd like to hope Bush hasn't done what he's done on purpose, which again, one could argue being the difference between Bush and Nixon that may make Nixon seem like the bigger ass, but Bush as a man should have known whether or not he was cut out for the job, and clearly, he stuck with his 7th grade attitude and thought "oh fuck it, what's the worst that can happen?".
Bush is described by today's people as a murderer and a fascist, and that in itself is enough, in my opinion, to declare him the worst. People have spoken cleaner words about Ivan the Terrible than they have about Bush. He fails, not only as a leader, but as a man. When you're fucking things up on his scale, it would be nice if you just quit and got the fuck out of the way. If any country didn't hate us before, they sure do now.

The things people said about Ivan the Terrible were things like "UNGH, YOU JUST KILLED ME, FATHER." Either way, we can't really go on what some people (read: a lot) say about him. Just view the things he's done and determine by yourself if he is really that terrible.

So who on earth knows what to do in the situation of the Twin Towers being bombed out of nowhere on a day which started like any other? How do you know he didn't? I would also like to point out the ammount of stress that comes from all eyes looking to you with such a thing. Sure, you can point the finger and say he coulda done this and shoulda done that, but since you weren't in his shoes, you really have to right to say such things as you may or may not have done worse.

Tell you what I wouldn't have done in his shoes: go to Iraq. Explain to me the amount of stress you would require before you would suddenly give up an extensive search for a man who is believed to have made a - excuse me - rather large attack on your soil, and then invade a nearby country for reasons that could not (and would not) be proven true?
Edit Not to mention splitting your country in two over this invasion, causing unnecessary deaths, wasting money, et cetera, yadda yadda. |

President Bush is still in office, and so we don't have the advantage of seeing the effects of his term. If, in 25 or 30 years, Iraq and Afghanistan are stable democracies and valuable allies in the Middle East, than no, he won't be the worst President by a long shot, and may even be considered one of the better ones.
You can't accurately assess Presidents while they are still on office, you just can't. Everybody sees modern events with shaded glasses. |

It doesn't change the fact though that attacking Iraq was a political move on his part, despite there not being any real weapons of mass destruction or ties to Al Qaeda to that country whatsoever. Bush seriously hurt our relationships with the other countries of the United Nations when he basically decided to ignore them, and then struck a serious blow to our economy by spending billions of dollars into a conflict that was little more than a total waste of time and expenses.
If he is not THE worst president we've had so far, then he is still within the top 3.
