No, just like they will never admit they can`t win the war on drugs.

There are enough houses in the country to shelter everyone, a lot of people just don`t have enough money. This is why social programs to help the middle and lower classes be sheltered are needed, instead of corporate handouts.

The fact that they`re creating this 700 billion out of thin air for corporate handouts makes you wonder why they can`t create 1 billion out of thin air for homeless support programs.

I`ll tell you why, because they couldn`t give a fuck.

Anyway, what would I do with 700 billion dollars? I'd spend it on whatever the fuck I wanted to spend it on. I mean, it's 700 billion. It's not as if I'm going to run out anytime soon.

Fucking hell. But I suppose I don't blame them, I mean come on, Bush has shown himself to be an economic genius over the last few years, how could they not mindlessly obey him in this matter?

I don't know the super specifics of the AIG or any of the other companies taking a nose dive into the concrete, but I do know that it branches the heck out over a good portion of America. Even if they're corrupt screw ups, if they're allowed to fall at the moment, it's going to jack a fair amount of people up. Not just those who play the market. They're already feeling the heat. People like you and me. For now, I think it's probably the soundest option to hold them up for a little longer, fix the system, and then let it run it's natural course again. I really don't think the government would be stepping in unless this was going to royally bust up the people. If anything, I would have expected them to be Laisez Faire at the moment, if it would have just hurt the company itself. Bush has made mistakes. That's granted of any President. However, all of the woes happening now aren't soley attributable to him. With economics especially, things stack over time, and it's not uncommon for things past Administrations have done to still be affecting the country, for better or worse, years down the line. It's just the way American Political history works for the guy in office to take the flack of what went wrong or the praise of what went right, whether it is or isn't his doing.
