Who is God to you? Do you see Him as multiple gods? Do you see him as a deist mechanist?

God to me is a deist mechanist, he set the universe in motion and is allowing it to run the course. This is simply the way things are. No need for him to step in all the time.

I also have a theory I have been thinking of, I do not believe in it, but it is interesting. Would God not attempt to save all people in the form most appealing to them? For example, the Hindus, they believe in a polytheistic religion, who is to say that God is not all of those gods, just interacting in a different form for different people? Maybe he is the way he is to Christians because they need to hard moral guidance?

I had a crazy idea about god. What if he's an alien? No, I'm not claiming to be the first with this idea, what I mean is, how would spiritual godly minded people react to this scenario:

Millions of years ago, there was a race of benevolent genius aliens. They mastered the universe with ease, but for some reason they all died one except for 1. All the thoughts etc of the whole race was put into this one guy and he used technology to become immortal. Among other things, he invents a way to program an immortal entity into DNA, and then comes to earth and alters the monkeymen to have this piece of coding which causes the brain to generate a conscious energy that is 100% immortal. Therefore, he would have invented souls. God would be just an immortal alien, and we would be evolved creatures with scientifically created souls.

And I wonder, how would people who view 'God' in a spiritual sense feel if this was somehow proven to be the case?

There is a hell. It's the Consequence for a life time of sin. You get one chance and one chance only. Saying that a man could continue to commit sin, die, and go back for as long as he wants for all eternity without a reprocussion seems strange.

I myself see God, the one and only God, as everything. He set the universe in motion, created all life, and watches over it all. 3/4's of Islands quote I agree with though. It is a test to enter heaven and he does not interfere.

If you're looking for the creation of everything, then perhaps you could say that "God" is the first being to ever exist. The first collection of cells capable of conscious actions, which could somehow become capable of realizing the idea of life from organizing other elements.

There's your god.
