God loves me, I love God, I love you; God loves you...thats all most ever need. Thats all we need. God is the highest power, and we are his people.
God must have some mighty arms.

I was given free will, the power to create and of course the ability to destroy. 3 qualities all humans possess. We are all individual Gods. If we all like BV said "Love" then we are all capable of being Gods.

My belief in god is that he is the father. He created the earth, and universe, then set it into motion the was a father will raise his son so that he is a productive member of society. I also believe that he made sure that everything can be explained scientifically. Sparking life in a primordial sea, then overseeing it as it eventually evolved into all the lifeforms we know and see today. God is still watching over us, but in the way that a father oversees his grown son.
He gives us subtle advice in signs that are easily overlooked and helps us out in ways that can be unseen. I believe that if you stop and look around you will see god's signs everywhere. What seems as coincidences are actually signs that have been set up to give you advanced warning towards challenges to come (ex. "Slow Ride" coming on the radio about five minutes before I got a speeding ticket), or help from troubles that you may not have been able to prevent (ex. Me getting a freakish amount of tips on the week I had to pay the fine from the speeding ticket). God helps us with more then just personal trama though. The sun is constantly shooting out massive solar flairs, and though earth's atmosphere can deflect most of what is sent this way if a particularly strong flair was sent strait at us it would burn away our atmosphere leaving us suseptable to every kind of radiation imaginable (Solar Flare.) Beyond just solar flairs there are other astrological phenomina that could just as easly destroy all life as we know it, from astroids to a sudden gamma wave blast hitting us from a star gone supernova. It can not be attributed to sheer luck that we or life at all has survied on this planet as long as it has.

I don't really have one idea on God, even though I've never given it much thought. I'm not one for trying to mold my entire life around one idea, but I'm also not going to just rule it out as bullshit. Also not really a fan of being cast into a group for an idea you believe in.

Free will, in my eyes, is how you define it. One could be trepidated at the notion of determinism, or one could decide to peer deeper into the ladder of idea that it is you who defines you: if you tell yourself you're going to be happy instead of scalding, or know you're going to be happy instead of scalding, then you may be. You shape who you are. Free will makes the inclusion of both that and opinion, as free can be applied to many mindsets philosophically and can be defined in many ways. Freedom comes with many a responsibility, which is burden within itself. Yet there's also a burden in being free with feelings you may not be able to take rein of. We're free because we are unrestricted, and yet we're not free because limitations of many sorts are still about us. Whether or not there's an omnipotent overseer and creator (or if it's even that simple), I'd say that it's application of thought and opinion that influences largely.

I don't believe in "God" or Christianity in general. I'm just surprised how many people there are out there who literally take all that stuff in as...gospel.
I personally doubt the existence of any form of a non-physical higher-being. I'm not totally dismissive of it though either. There's a more realistic chance of aliens having an influence on modern day man than such an entity in my mind. |

I believe in God because the Earth is too detailed, too balanced, too rich with life to have happened randomly. I don't believe in Christian God but i do believe in my own god. I think God gives faith and hope to everyone including me even in are darkest hours.

Not really God is omni-preasent he doesn't look at things the same way. Plus Heaven wouldn't mean much if all we knew was good, if there is good all the time 24/7 then the good is just mediocre. Anything that you wait for, any reward I have found to be better than something I was just given. He gave us Free-will, so that we wouldn't be robots. I'd personally give my kids (If I had any) free-choice. He doesn't think in short term he mainly just thinks overall what will come of something.

A little video that I found based on Topic
http://zeitgeistmovie.com/main.htm[/url] Basically it's a propaganda video about conspiracies. Most of which if you follow conspiracy theories you would already know.

Lol. Zeitgiests god section is trash. If you look thru the threads, I proved something like 75% of its similarities between Jesus and the other gods were outright false. Many of them were just ridiculous, and go well beyond a simple mistake. IE, none of them got crucified, yet the movie claims all or most of them did. And off the top of my head two claimed to be born of virgins, one was false(born from a rock) and the other had two stories, one virgin birth one Zeus humping a mountain, both with equal legitimacy.
And some things, IE the resurrection of Attis, were added to their stories after Jesus's death.
