i side with Vivi on the matter it is the peoples fault they are like that... if their government is corrupt they should overthrow the government as the people i bet outnumber there governments by quite a fair bit... We need this project to help us advance into a brighter future...

btw i like the mention of creating a wormhole for time-travellers that would be umm interesting ^_^

It is realistic in the sense that the chance of something catastrophic happening is very unlikely, I don't see it as a big threat to my life. It really isn't a big deal, if something happens and we all die, it'll happen instantly, not like I'll know and be scared or something. You have to take risks sometimes (albeit a tiny one.).

Because the chance is so incredibly low. Realistically there is no way that it will happen. The information learned from it will be crazy valuable, think about it. The more we know about the universe, the more technology we can create, thus the easier life is.

Anyways, as Vivi stated there have been many collisions similar to what would be going on at that particle accelerator. There's no need to worry about it. Several experts agree that the chances of the Earth being destroyed are incredibly low.

Exactly. It's very similar to the Mayan's predictions of the world ending and stuff. There have been times where the world has been prophised to end and it hasn't.

Unless of course the universe ended, but was replaced almost instantly by an identicle universe instantaneously. It could happen.
