So correct me if i'm wrong but if the world ends then i presume that our deaths would be quick and mostly painless? Shit, that beats dying from cancer and from what i hear a lot of people are dyng from that shit these days so look at it from this perspective - if it did happen it would be quick, painless and at least you wont be dying alone,lol, but seriously - what the fuck do a bunch of crazy Mayans know?!

Depends how it ends. There could be a giant radiation wave and we all die of cancer or it could be something really painful.

My post had nothing to do with earth ending theories. It had to do with 'credibility' of the people/groups telling us what to believe regarding our existence.

Seriously, there's been lots of apocalypse predictions before 2000 and afer it. Anyone remember not some long time ago, when several children were freed from some apocalypse cult leader's ranch (not so sure with that ranch part). I can't remember all from that news, but most of these apocalypse predictions are made some cults that recruit members, telling only their followers will be saved.
