Not to mention ever level of education claims to be preparing you for the "real world" and a higher form of education. All they give you is the curriculum, but no social skills that really do anything for you.

In elementary school, they teach you to write and basic math. They told us we would have to write in cursive constantly in middle school.

In middle school, we didn't have to write in cursive. Everything had to be written in pen, and they claimed high school would require everything to be written in pen.

In high school, we write in whatever (unless it's typed up) and learn pretty pointless information that can't be applied to real life unless you land on some game show through dumb luck. They claim college is going to be just like high school.

In college, you are pretty much free to do whatever aside from outright interrupting a class. You want to wear a coat in class? Sure. Want to wear a hat? Go ahead. Want to wear your jammies? Be our guest. Want to leave class whenever you want? It's your choice. We won't punish you for it.

1. It depends on what career you're seeking. If you want to be a physicist, it'd probably be a good a idea to have a course in Physics.

That tends to happen when you're paying thousands of dollars a semester to go there. It buys certain freedoms.

I forgot how we have less freedoms because we attend public schools. Fucking hat-wearing lawlessness. Too bad my parents didn't pay shitloads of money to put me in a private school where I am forced to wear dress pants and a tie.

At my school, uniforms were enforced in order to prevent the creation and being of gangs, violence, and independence.

Of course those things occured anyways, so there was no point to have uniforms.

there are quite a few things I hate about my high school. for one, in between classes, certain people like to stand from wall to wall talking and pushing each other around, which makes the normal, unobnoxious kids have to use energy to walk all the way around them instead of a straight path through. also, it sucks to be in a classroom full of soccer players who don't give a shit about their grades. I also don't like standardized tests. if you do your homework at my school, you'll easily get by with a 3.0. my school usually gets a "C" in the county scores, so we kind of suck, but at least it makes me seem like the most intelligent student in Florida.

I mean that there's no level of respect between teachers and students anymore, because of how overbearing and contradictive (as Halcyon mentioned) it's gotten. Also, school being a manditory thing is just bullshit. School should be optional, and you should be paid weekly for going. If you misbehave or make below a certain grade, out you go. This way only people who want to be stuffed in a classroom all day and have a better chance to make it in the world can go right on ahead, and let us fellow degenerates and free-thinkers do as we please.

No and that rarely ever happens, I've seen a dude walk around with a Dora the explorer bookbag and nobody says anything. People mostly get picked on because of the way they and their facial/body appearance rather than clothes. Though it's pretty rare to be picked on at my school, unless no one likes you.
