My Gawd, I've just scrolled over and man, so many counting mistakes >< you better watch what you type, it's really frustrating to check everything. bah... *cough* My "school" starts at Feb 5... >.> and yeah, Pyro, we have more letters because basically there is a letter for almost every sound and our spelling is like "european romaji", as in, spelled as said. but instead of "sh" we write š. It's more... economic ^^

Eh, who's making mistakes? Lol, oh. Well, at least it aint as hard as chinese. Gata learn both pinyin (speaking) and the characters (writing) at the same time.

ah yes, well, but I bet every other foreigner would die over our grammar. one frustrated Englishman once said: "Normal languages have irregular verbs. Lithuanian has irregular nouns..." That's not true, of course. It's just that we have many declensions ^^;; *cough* ![]()

After studying chinese, I'd probably understand it. Once you study chinese, you can say basically anything after hearing. Knowing what it means or where to use it is a differant story though. What's declensions? >_> Ah, never saw that. XD

*cough* Longman says that declension is: 1) the set of various forms that a noun, pronoun, or adjective can have according to whether it is the subject, object etc. of a sentence in a language such as Latin or German 2) a particular set of nouns etc that all have the same set of forms Example. saule (Lithuanian for Sun, 2nd declension, feminine) Nominative: Saule (sun - subject) Genitive: saules (of sun, sun's) Dative: saulei (to sun, for sun) Accusative: saule (sun - object) Ablative: saule (with sun) That was just singular. There's also plural + 11 more declensions... each in 7 cases ^^
