Well Appule comes to Earth, beats someone up, everyone depairs for a little bit before another character comes back with an amazing and rather cliched powerup. Appule never came to Earth during that Arc. You must have mistaken the Zombie Namek Arc with the Earth Golem Arc. Its a common mistake.

So there was this alien stepping on me and beating someone up, everyone was depairing for a little bit before another character comes back to step on me with an amazing and rather cliched poweruo. He steps on me more and beats Appule and everyone jumps on me and cheers. Appule then transforms into a super form, beating the other character up who falls on the ground an hurts me. Eventually he has a big fight with another main character who's spent the intervening time asleep on me and then Appule dies because he doesn't have as much resolve.

So I was just chilling being the Sun and shit, you know just doing my thing. When all of a sudden this spaceship comes and almost hits me and I was like wtf man I'm the sun show some respect. Then that thing lands on my buddy the Earth and starts roughing him up a little bit. I was laughing and whatnot cause first there was like global warming and now this. Yeah, anyway some shit went down and the Earth was all chilling after. No big deal.
