Agree, I have yet to see a DB fan manga or fiction that is actually note-worthy or readable for that matter. As many fans as Dragon Ball has, very few of them actually understand what makes Dragon Ball a good series.

I won't lie, I've only read one DBZ fic in my life (quite a few fan mangas though), and it was lame as hell. DBZ fan fic-ing should be called "Toei? Oh wait, fans".

DBZ isn't meant to be fic-ed, never was, never will be. Period.

I wrote a Dragonball fan fiction where Goku was taken in by the Red Ribbon Army and started carrying out missions and shit for them. It was pretty quality stuff, but I started rushing it towards the end.

Edit Manic also started one with a character he created who was supposed to be a distant descendant of Goku.
