If you keep track of what you opened, you can tell which window is what just by remembering it's place. For example, looking at the buttons in the window in my screen cap ..

I am begrimed IM, mIRC #MFG, volume control, Downloads folder, The Gas Chamber, Sneaky Kikki, Windows Media Player, Hey Nikushimi topic, Super Smash Bros. FAQ list, GameFAQs Mario FAQ, Element Properties.

Or, you could keep most of that in tabs so you wouldn't have to remember anything.

But I easily remember the buttons and I've committed "Open in new window" to muscle memory. It'd take more effort to start using tabs.

But with tabs if you want to exit the browser, you only need to get rid of one window.

About a week ago, also I can just Ctrl+Alt+Delete and close firefox.exe. Then when I reopen Firefox I will have the option of starting a new session or restoring what I was at beforehand.

I could also make my actual page view smaller by using tabs.

I end up using about as many Windows as Hal does, each full of tabs.
