TGD: it could be that the name of the topic in question was so offensive or illegal that having this site linked in a Google keyword would be bad. I'll admit I'm just conjecturing here and don't know too much about the internals of this system though.

Even if they delete the thread, it usually still says the name. Unless they can actually delete the thread's title in 'reputation given'. Which, apparently, seems to be the case.

Super admin with database permissions can do what they like. Though I would expect there to be a thread out there with the name 'N/A' too. I doubt (ok, I wouldnt code it that way) that the name is copied into the rep table anew, when a foreign key link to the thread table primary key will do.

Ok, doing it that way would increase storage reqs, but cuts down on the number of joins. It's a tradeoff.

Depends on how scalable they wanted to write it.
