Ok, I tried a web translator and what it came up with was not what it means. When I did E -> W on the phrase, it provided something totally different.

I can assure you that the phrase I quoted (spelling to the best of my memory) is currently in use in a lot of places.

With fire doors, there is no 'please' about it. It is an order; a command. It is legally mandated that they are shut.

Then your school was wussifying the law to protect you precious snowflakes. There is no 'please' here. It is an order. You (the company, the school, whatever) can be prosecuted (really) if they are not shut. It is a big deal.
